Licences and dongles
Software purchased in the Flux:: online store does not provide, or need, any licence codes or manual authorization procedures as everything is handled automatically. When a transaction is finalized, and the payment received in full, a confirmation email is sent with instructions explaining how to download the installers, and information about where the licences are deposited to be stored (on your iLok or Flux:: dongle).
-
Flux:: Dongle
If your licences are stored on a Flux:: dongle, make sure the computer is connected to the Internet, then open the Flux:: Security Manager with your Flux:: dongle connected to the computer. Next, verify that the licences are available on your dongle and that they are valid.
The Flux:: Security Manager is an administration tool to help users keeping track of, and update, the licences on a Flux:: dongle in an easy and convenient fashion.
To download the Security Manager, please login using one of the following: your Flux:: dongle serial number, or your registered email, from our user download area:
http://www.fluxhome.com/downloadIf you don’t know your Flux:: dongle serial number, please see on the invoice from the initial purchase of your Flux:: dongle.

Direct activation by dealer
If the licence was registered and activated by your dealer and sent to your iLok account direct during the purchase process, you do not need to proceed with these instructions, your software is already registered and activated.
-
Registration and activation
The licence code you have received from your dealer is intended for the activation of your product. As soon as the activation is completed and the licence has been sent to your iLok account, or downloaded to your Flux:: dongle, the licence code is no longer required for any future reference.
Please note that software purchased in the Flux:: online store does not provide, or need, any licence codes or manual authorization procedures as everything is handled automatically (see “Where are my licences?”).
To proceed with the product activation you need:
- An active email account/address (this will be used for sending important activation information to you).
- An iLok account, or a Flux:: USB dongle. (In order to download and use a licence with an iLok account, at least one iLok USB key is needed and must be associated with the actual iLok account.)
-
Activation annulment
Once the activation process is completed an annulment of the activation is not possible. If your licences were sent to an iLok account and still are pending for download (should reclamation or a refund be in question) please do not download the licence to your iLok USB key, instead contact your dealer immediately.
To register and activate your Flux:: product, visit our activation page and follow the instructions. https://www.fluxhome.com/activation
-

Drivers and installers
If your licences are stored on an iLok USB key, you must download and install the latest iLok driver before installing your Flux:: software.
http://paceap.com/support/support.htmlIf your licences are stored on a Flux:: dongle it is not necessary to use the iLok drivers to install and run your Flux:: software.
Next, you must download and install the latest Flux:: software installer for your product.
To download the latest software installer please login using one of the following: your iLok user account id, your Flux:: dongle serial number or your registered email from our user download area:
http://www.fluxhome.com/downloadWhen logged in, you will need to specify what operating system your software will be installed on. This is done by clicking the tick-boxes for “Windows” or “Mac OS X”. Now you will see the corresponding installers for your operating system and the product, available for download.
-
Installation
Even if you have a free trial version of the same product already installed on your computer, the full product installer must be downloaded and installed. The free trial version installer will NOT recognize your iLok key or your Flux:: dongle.
-
Currently installed Flux:: software and new product installers, Windows only!
When using Windows (any version), the software build version must be the same on all installed Flux:: products.
To verify this, open “Credits" in the setup menu in the plug-in user interface, or direct in the file system. Then locate the plug-in files and click on the actual file(s) -> Properties ->File Version, and compare the build versions on all of the installed plug-ins. To locate the plug-in files in your system, please refer to your DAW user manual.
Example:
Alchemist (2.1.17.6967)Here, the build version, 6967, is the same on both plug-ins, and there should be no problems with accessing and using any of the two plug-ins.
Spat (1.0.15.6967)When installing a new installer, the version name and build of the plug-ins in the installer is available in the file name of the installer.
Example:
Flux_FullPack_II_Windows_Installer_(2.1.19.7099).exeIn this case, the software in the installer has a different, higher, build number than the current software installed and all Flux:: software must be re-installed in order to make sure everything works as intended. -
If you still can’t access or use your software, please proceed to “Known Issues”.

There are no signs of incoming signal in the Pure Analyzer System, what should I do?
Sending signal through a network using the SampleGrabber plug-in
First, verify that both the source system where the SampleGrabber is inserted, and the destination system where the Pure Analyzer System application is installed, are connected over the same network and that they have a valid network configuration. Both systems need to be configured with an IP network, either through a DHCP server, or through manual configuration.
If there are no signs of signal in the Pure Analyzer System application after selecting one of the available SampleGrabbers, please verify your firewall settings.
Make sure that both the Pure Analyzer System application and your host software are authorized for any network communication, or specifically, for UDP access from port 46000 to 46064.
Sending signal through a hardware I/O direct into the Pure Analyzer System application
Mac OS X
In the Pure Analyzer System application the “Flux:: Aggregate Device” has to be chosen as the selected “Device” in the “Hardware IO” setup. The “Flux:: Aggregate Device” may have to be manually configured in the Audio/Midi settings application for desired settings.Windows
Your installed soundcard may appear several times under “Device” in the “Hardware IO” setup, in which case, for performance and stability make sure that the native ASIO driver is selected, and not an emulated driver (which are often labelled something like “ASIO DirectX Full Duplex Driver”, “Generic Low Latency ASIO Driver” or similar). For further instructions, please consult the Pure Analyzer System manual, Chapter 3 (Page 18).

I can’t find my Flux:: plug-ins in the host software after finalizing the installation?
If you are running a host software that are using the VST version of the Flux:: plug-ins (Cubase, Nuendo, Sonar etc.), and you still can’t see your plug-ins in your host software after the installation, there may be a problem with the plug-in scanning after installing the plug-ins.
Please follow these steps to perform a plug-in re-scan:
- Find the actual location of the plug-in files in your system (.vst on Mac OS X, and .dll on Windows).
- Open Preferences/Settings in your DAW software and locate the list of Folders/Paths to scan for plug-ins. Please consult the user manual of your DAW for the exact location of these settings.
- Add the actual location found in the first step, to the list of Folders/Paths if not already present.
- Consult the user manual to find out the procedure for a plug-in re-scan in your DAW, and then perform a re-scan.
Your installed plug-ins should now be available in the plug-in list in your DAW.
-
Why are the automation parameters not accessible?
If you only have a free trial version of your product installed on your computer, the full product installer must be downloaded and installed.
If you have installed the full product installer over a previous installation of a free trial version, you may need to perform a plug-in re-scan in your DAW to update the plug-in parameter list. Some hosts (e.g. Motu Digital Performer) require a full snapshot of the plug-in in order to list the parameters correctly.
This procedure may be needed in hosts using AU as well as VST versions of Flux:: plug-ins.
-
I can’t get the software to work in 64-bits?
Due to dependencies in external libraries used in our software, Flux:: plug-ins are not yet 64-bit compatible. However, all internal processing in our software is performed in 64bits float precision.
Bridge software (like the Logic AU 32 bit bridge) is not recommended and can lead to severe performance loss and, potentially, other performance issues. 64-bit binaries of Flux:: plug-ins are expected during 2011.
