Epure II - Where sound becomes music

With an algorithm designed to deliver the most superior quality achievable in digital equalizing processing today, Epure II is a powerful go-to processor for your day-to-day session works, and a sharp-edged surgical precision tool for the most demanding equalizing and filtering tasks conceivable.

User Interface And Workflow

The logical and comprehensive user interface includes a variety of instant shortcut functions to enhance and simplify the user workflow, allowing for simplistic, quick and precise operation. Each of the five colour coded band sections is covering the complete frequency range and offers -/+ 24 dB gain with dynamic gain controls allowing you to multiply the gain by 2, divide it by 2, or invert the gain with just the flip of a switch.

Processing

As all Flux:: processors Epure II provide up to eight channels of simultaneous processing for multichannel/surround operations.

In addition, 4 MS decoders/encoders and up to 8 internally routable processing groups present the ability to process multiple explicit tiers from within one single plug-in instance, allowing for complex processing assignments such as separate processing of M and S components.

Using the internal processing groups and the MS option in a multichannel setup, you could for example have one set of controls grouped together for the front channels, with a different group controlling the rear channels, configuring an MS EQ on the front channels and simultaneously another MS EQ on the rear channels as well, using one single instance of Epure II only.

AVID TDM & VENUE versions available, AAX Native/DSP estimated during Q1 2013.

Press Reviews

“This is my favourite Flux plug-in and stands a very good chance of becoming my EQ of choice”

Protools for media (Now ProTools Expert) http://www.pro-tools-expert.com

“In my Flux review back in Sound on Sound (above), I said that the Epure plug-in would stand a good chance of becoming my EQ of choice largely because of its excellent graphical user interface including colour coding for each section and the auto ranging display. My only reservation at the time was that it was only available as a Native plug-in so there was the latency problem to work round. Now they have released the TDM version that hurdle has been overcome and so I can see no reason now why this won’t become my EQ plug-in of choice, well done Flux!”

Epure II Band Features

Each of the five band-sections provides

  • Filter type selection
      low cut
    • low shelving
    • peak
    • hi shelving
    • hi cut

  • Frequency range covering the whole bandwidth
  • Q factor adjustable (from 1.00 to 100.00)
  • Gain control (ranged -24 dB to +24 dB)
  • Bypass

Epure II User Interface Features

To match the perfection of the sound quality of the Epure II, we have provided a range of user interface functions to improve the workflow.

  • Multiply gain (x2) affecting the gain value of the band-section.
  • Divide gain (/2) affecting the gain value of the band-section.
  • Invert, converting the band-section positive values to negative and vice versa.

Signal Processing Features

  • Master gain control.
  • Bypass routes the incoming signal direct to the output for a true smooth transition between processed and clean signal.

Preset and Parameter Handling

Preset/Parameter slots

To enhance the workflow the two Preset/Parameter slots, A and B, can be loaded with two full set of parameters at the same time. Apart from saving each preset, a "Global Preset" containing both the A and B settings, and the position of the "Morphing Slider", can be saved.

Parameter Morphing Slider with Automation

The Morphing Slider provides morphing between the parameter settings of slot A/B allowing for really creative and useful real-time tweaking. Enabling the Automation control button exposes the Morphing Slider to the host automation.
