There are thousands of free plug-ins available in VST format, especially on Windows, and most of these can be used with Pro Tools via a ‘wrapper’ such as FXpansion’s highly recommended VST To RTAS Adapter. However, there are also a few free plug-ins available in native Pro Tools formats, and three in particular strike me as very useful.

And there is a reason for the name; it comes from solerais, which is a wine-blending technique used to ensure consistent flavor from year to year. That the manufacturer put this much thought into the name of a plug-in is a hint at the level of effort that went into the design and coding.

To me Flux is at the top of the food chain of dynamics and clean processing. When I first tried their products I had barely heard of them and didn't know what to expect at all. Needless to say, Solera blew me away, and is still to this day the only reviewed product here at ProTooler that have been branded wicked. Lets see what the new Pure Limiter can bring to the table.
